Georgia Humanities is accepting applications for its fall 2017 award cycle. Grants of up to $2,000 will be awarded to organizations seeking to host programs and events which connect and build communities through dialogue and shared experience. Universities, museums, libraries, historical societies and other cultural, civic and educational entities will be awarded grants to carry out diverse projects such as walking tours, exhibitions, author talks, lecture series, and literary festivals.
Programs funded must include at least one humanities scholar and bring the public together free of charge.
The fall application cycle deadline is September 30, 2017; the spring 2018 cycle deadline is March 30.
Georgia Humanities staff can answer questions, discuss potential projects and give draft feedback up to September 22, 2017.
