The National Science Foundation invites grant proposals to support projects that have the potential to transform undergraduate education in the sciences. The emphasis in this call is for projects that are “evidence-based” and “evidence-generating”, that is, projects must be grounded in the scholarship of teaching and learning and have the potential to contribute to that literature. On October 29 and 30, a group of academics from across the Southeast will host a two-day “Digital Humanities in the Southeast” event. Held jointly at Georgia Tech on the 29th and Georgia State on the 30th, the workshop will feature talks by local scholars, a grant preparation workshop run by a representative from the NEH’s Office of Digital Humanities, and, schedule permitting, individual meetings with NEH ODH representatives regarding existing or new project proposals.
