Faculty from US institutions made a 8 day trek through Australia to visit seven universities. The goal was to increase opportunities for STEM students to study abroad. Universities visited included RMIT, University of Melbourne, and Monash University in Melbourne; University of New South Wales and University of Sydney in Sydney; and University of Queensland in Brisbane. In addition to seeing outstanding facilities in which students could learn and explore science and engineering innovations, we were able to see the longest experiment ever, “the Pitch Drop Experiment.”
