The NASA Minority Institution Research Support (MIRS) Program is soliciting proposals from faculty and students from minority-serving institutions interested in partnering with NASA Astrobiology-funded investigators. The primary goal of the MIRS Program is to prepare a new generation of researchers in astrobiology and to diversify the astrobiology community. Faculty from a U.S. minority-serving institution who are U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents and are qualified to conduct scientific research related to astrobiology are eligible to apply. The MIRS Program offers up to ten weeks of support with a $1,000 weekly stipend, up to $5,000 in travel allowance, and up to $10,000 follow-up support for participating faculty.
The deadline for this program is in April.
