The DoD is interested in innovative research projects that will enhance their institution’s STEM programs and make the institution more competitive for DoD research programs and improve the retention of students in STEM majors.
Submitted applications must include a request to support between two and four students. This may include tuition support (full or partial), stipends, fees, and other justified expenses.
Grants awarded will be funded up to $600,000 total over a three-year period.
Proposal deadline is August 10, 2017, by 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
This funding opportunity has a limited number of three (3) applications per institution. If you are interested in submitting a proposal to the DoD Research and Education Program for HBCU/MI, you must notify the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP). Please email your intention to submit and a brief (2-4 sentences) description of the project for which you are seeking funding to Claudia Scholz at firstname.lastname@example.org or Margaret Farrow at email@example.com no later than July 5, 2017.
